For a couple of days now, Bill Murray has been singing his sad, soulful version of Roxy Music’s “More Than This” in my head:

And sometimes that fades out so that The Beta Band can sing “It’s Over” to me:

And then sometimes that fades out so that, inside my head, a sweet female voice joins the Thievery Corporation to sing “Heaven’s Gonna Burn Your Eyes”:

That's one of my favorite moments in that movie. You made me get that song in my head for the last 24 hours now. Thanks.

At least it supplanted "On the Wings of Love." Oh wait - no. "On the Wings of Love" is back. With a vengeance. It's amazing how speaking/typing it's name fuels the pure evil that is that song.

I listed to "More Than This" a bunch of times on repeat this weekend. At the end of the weekend, the battle between it and "On the Wings of Love" ended and I'm sad to say that "On the Wings of Love" was the victor. (This will make it worse to hear but it was the Clay Aiken version, not the James Ingram version.) I think I need to be kidnapped and reprogrammed in some sort of "A Clockwork Orange" kind of way.

By the way, Mark subscribes to PC World and I saw a picture of you in the table of contents promoting the online edition. Stupidly, I flipped through the entire magazine thinking I'd see your column. I already looked up your column though a few weeks ago after we had lunch.
