Like many personal blogs of its era, this blog is moribund, a casualty of what we might call "the Facebook effect." However, as of late 2015, two things are clear: (1) The Indie Web is a thing, and (2) the re-decentralization of the web is a thing. So who knows?
2016 2017 (!) could be the year this blog rises from its own ashes. Stay tuned!
And sometimes that fades out so that The Beta Band can sing “It’s Over” to me:I could feel at the time There was no way of knowin' Fallen leaves in the night Who can say where they're blowin' As free as the wind Hopefully learnin' Why the sea on the tide Has no way of turnin' More than this You know there's nothing More than this Tell me one thing More than this There's nothing
And then sometimes that fades out so that, inside my head, a sweet female voice joins the Thievery Corporation to sing “Heaven’s Gonna Burn Your Eyes”:She's been switched on inside my head An imaginary friend sittin' by my bed Taking pictures of my soul All the angles no one could know I thought an eagle was seein' through my eyes I thought everybody turnin' into spies Reassures the only aim of my life Please reassure me that I'm doing all right No more calls on the telephone She's been turned off and I'm all alone She's been switched off inside my head An imaginary friend sittin' by my bed
Sounds like I need a healthy dose of John Lennon…Do you applaud fear Do you hold it near Are you afraid to live your life The way I perceive In my arms I'll catch you Do you mind if I always love you Heaven's gonna burn your eyes You'll see In my dreams I'll catch you Into my arms I'll catch you Do you mind if I always love you Heaven's gonna burn your eyes
