Like many personal blogs of its era, this blog is moribund, a casualty of what we might call "the Facebook effect." However, as of late 2015, two things are clear: (1) The Indie Web is a thing, and (2) the re-decentralization of the web is a thing. So who knows? 2016 2017 (!) could be the year this blog rises from its own ashes. Stay tuned!

katya had this to say (10/18/2006 14:28:30):
I remember seeing and doing The Wave for the first time at the second game of the National League playoffs (San Diego vs. Chicago) in 1984. I remember my mom reporting that the fans were doing it the day before (Game 1), and that it was a new thing. I'd been to a lot of Padre games (1, sometimes 2 a week) earlier that year and never saw it. Maybe Game 1 was the first time The Wave happened in San Diego?
